Series set between November 1982 (the death of Breshnev) and August 1991 (Estonia's independence) Archive footage from transitional scenes - I gave up capturing after these because there are so many of them: Lada dealer in Tallinn in 1.03: Paavo and Pille have car posters in the room they share, though it's highly unlikely that a US TV series launched in September 1982 would already appear in a Soviet Estonian wall in the spring of 1983! Picture of a red Jaguar in the Kukeke bar: In season 8 it moves to a different spot...: ...and a picture of a DTM Mercedes 190 takes its place: Paavo has the same picture in his room: ...and so does Jüri: From 10.06 he has another car picture on his wall: And this sticker on a cupboard in the Harju Raion Sports Center: Paavo watches The Spy Who Loved Me on a VCR: And Moonraker: Period background vehicles: -- Last edit: 2021-03-15 08:57:37 |

That's not a Mercedes and absolutely not an DTM race car in the picture. It's an Holden VK Commodore V8, driven by Peter Brock at Bathurst in 1984: Link to "m.themorningbulletin.com.au" -- Last edit: 2019-03-25 22:56:50 |

End year can be set as 2019. The final episode aired April 29. A successor has already been announced: "EV" is probably to be set in freshly independent Estonia from 1992-1993 (possibly even the late summer/fall/winter of 1991) |
