As usual, identifying a 40-year old vehicle has to be done with caution, all the more when the concerned vehicle looks as shiny as this one: lot of Kombis became Buses thanks to a restoration (opposite conversions are strangely scarce )... With such a front face, this one is a 1973-79 model. The 2-tone paint and the rubber strip on the bumper would logically make it a Bus / Station Wagon / Microbus / Minibus or whatever the name that is used in Indonesia (where this scene was apparently shot), but the color scheme don't match: the roof pillars and the rib under the windows of a 1971+ van should be the same color as the roof. ⇒ 1973 Kombi? |

1973 would be correct (can't see the fuel filler) but don't pay to much attention to the color, it is hardly original anyway Did they use to import from Germany, or from other sources like Australia? |
