1959 Chevrolet Bel Air Sportsedan ([1539] with a six-, [1639] with a V8-engine). Impalas had a double chrome spear, Biscaynes were not available with this flat roof.

I think this is a 1960 Pontiac. Take a close look at the side trim. It's different from what was used for Chevys.

You're absolutely right, Carnerd. Particularly the tailfins make this a 1960 Pontiac. But is it a Catalina, Ventura, Star Chief or Bonneville Vista Sedan?

Because we can't see the rear wheel arch we can't tell if it is a short or long wheelbase model (the difference is in the distance between the rear door and the wheel arch)- and we can't see enough of the front front fender to pick out the script to identify the model. A Vista was available in all four models - take your pick! The only clue might be the space between the trunk lid and the rear window - it looks long enough that it just might be a longer wheelbase model - so I would go with Star Chief.

The car behind it is a 1960 Pontiac Safari. In the far background is a 1959 Ford. A 1962 Chevrolet is to the immediate left and front. A 1963 Chevrolet Impala is to the right and front. In the foreground sits a 1959-1960 GM full-sized model (hard to tell, but it's not a a Caddy or Buick). Although not pictured, in the junkyard scene there was also distinctly a 1958 Olds convertible.
