These police Interceptor have all V6 or were they available with V8, too? I'm starting to ponder, what will be my next daily driver, as the Vauxhall Vectra starts getting quirky |

Nope they both are only offered with a V6 standard. They have option EcoBoost engines as well (V6). I did not see a V8 offered. However, they did mention a 4 cylinder engine for administrative and detective work. Technically 3 engines for the sedan(Taurus) and two for the SUV(explorer). |

Never ever I'm strictly against electric cars, for ecological, eceonomical and a plenty of other reasons, for example the owners of those clunkers. They are all fanaticized trolls. I'm looking for a SUV with V8 fuel engine. Old US police cars are freaky, eyecatchers (colour sheme, bull bar) and have some advantages, which are important for me: cloth seats (I hate laether seats) and no entertainment-junk (electronics makes me aggressive). And this (after 0:45) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTOg4aYGtdY is still true -- Last edit: 2019-04-07 12:57:03 |

I said "daily driver". One K 70 is enough. It's the version and the MY I prefer, so that's fine. Even if I would buy annother classic car, it would be something else than a K 70. -- Last edit: 2019-04-07 12:51:14 |

Presumably you have given up on visiting London, then. The only reason I didn’t buy electric last year was towing my caravan or boat, but apparently hybrid SUVs can now tow as well. |

Dodge and Chevy police SUVs can have V8s: https://www.fcausfleet.com/dodge/durango-pursuit.html https://www.gmfleet.com/specialty-vehicles/police/chevy-tahoe-ppv.html |

Yes, so I'm looking in that direction. |

No. But when I visit large metropoles or pittoresque European towns, never by car. That paranoic hysteria about cars goes onwards in Germany quite extreme, but actually it's about Diesel-cars. Of course fuel cars will coming next, but I don't bother about that bullshit. I live outside concerned towns and if I have to go in such a town, I will ignore the prohibitions. Yes, I'm planning to buy such a coarse vehicle for political reasons, too. It's a wonderful provocation |

That I like! The head politico honcho of London published a street map with levels of particulate pollution shown in 3-D above each route. There are some staggering figures at important intersections, and he has banned the purchase of new diesel buses, and is doing his best to stamp out older than E6 vehicles. It’s already £12.50 to cross London in a modern car, but he is on a crusade, and when asked how poorer people with old cars would manage he said that as they generally lived where the particulates were highest it would help them. Typical politician - “as long as I get my wishes stuff you lot!” Sorry, used the wrong word, not wishes - votes. -- Last edit: 2019-04-07 20:48:02 |

Ah, the intersections, where you always see kids, grandmas, doggies, hamsters and others alighting due the terrible Diesel pollution. London -the UK at all- has a big disadvantage - CCTV-cameras everywhere. So an illegal trip with a bad old clunker is not really possible. Although my political position is far away from him https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Ulbricht I always consider a saying by him: "It has to look democratic, but he have to hold everything in our hands". |

Special cameras as well, to police the congestion and pollution charges. If your car is older than 2015 and diesel it’s £25.00 for a journey through the city. |

But not all the time, or? I remember, when we crossed the (totally empty, because it was 5 on a Sunday morning) City of London, on the way to buy my Vectra, we hadn't to pay anything. -- Last edit: 2019-04-09 19:12:04 |

It’s 07.00 to 18.00 Monday to Friday. And, sorry, I was £1.00 out, it’s £11.50 congestion and £12.50 pollution. |

Some bloke on the radio last week complaining, he runs a (120mpg) 2005 Honda 90 and is going to get stiffed for the 12.50 a day, the same as someone driving a (15mpg) V8 Range Rover. Sadiq Khan is a kn*b head! |

A survey in Germany found out, that members and supporters of the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alliance_90/The_Greens (notoriously known for all kinds of prohibitions and rules of conduct for the people) are making the most intercontinental flights. |
