Il ne s' agit pas d' un COMMER mais plutôt d' un SEDDON DIESEL (voir sigle SD sur calandre) |

S&D ...is NOT Seddon Diesel (..Seddon is a manufacturer ...but not called Seddon Diesel.!!) S&D is Shelvoke & Drury ..who specialize in making bodywork (usually) for Dustcarts/refuse trucks etc... (I have worked on these... while a refuse collector in the early 1980's.!) |

sorry for my mistake, I always think SD meant Seddon Diesel... (I had some lorries as die-cast toys (Budgie-Toys) with yellow boxes on which it was written Seddon Diesel...here started my confusion) Then how do we have to name this lorry ? so let change for Shelvoke&Drury then -- Last edit: 2005-12-22 01:38:48 |

No Problem ..as you know...I make loads of mistakes.! I only know this truck ..as I worked with it.! I had made a similar mistake with Greyhound bus (I had known this as a child with matchbox cars) ...but have been corrected on this site ..telling me it is not Greyhound...But MCI.!! -- Last edit: 2005-12-22 01:48:42 |

Interesting to see this one in a film! This is a Shelvoke & Drewry TZ from 1963. And here is a link to the actual vehicle: http://myspace.surefish.co.uk/~brian.carpenter/Preserved%201.htm (Scroll down to 'The T Type'.) Very nice discovery ... if I may use the word 'nice' for an ex-gully emptier. -- Last edit: 2007-01-27 17:22:53 (Sunbar) |
