This is not a 1951 Model A4 but a 1948-49 Model A2. The Checker sports the smaller non wrap around bumpers of an A2 |

A large fleet of used taxis were shipped to Finland by Chicago Checker Cab just before the Helsinki Olympics. It is highly likely that the car picture above is one of those former Chicago cabs. |
