The plate is BUS 579. 1935 was the year provided by the Scottish Screen Archive though was quite obviously guesswork on their behalf! |

A82 is a twin carriageway boulevard with wide central reservation at this point - I recognise the exact location - and it has a very wide turning apron surviving today. Looking again at the footage (which has a couple of other buses parked up), I'd guess it was the route terminus on the old City boundary before entering Knightswood which would have been in Renfrewshire. |
