Are we looking at the 1940 Lincoln Zephyr?

If about the grey and black car: 1957-70 Volvo 120 Series 'Amazon'.
If the 2-tone paint job is a genuine one, then a 1957-61 model only, which seems to be confirmed by the white blinkers. I leave experts give a more precise model (121 or 122S?) / model year, if other clues are visible.

What's the story behind this capture? I mean if it's a museum where is it located, and what does it represent?

The Volvo is an early one, which indeed can be seen on the white indicators, but also on the slightly different grille.

1962-64: http://www.volvoamazonpictures.se/modelyears/images/1963%20122S.jpg (slightly narrower aluminium sides strips in the grille)

I believe it's not a 1957 MY as that had a separate square side strip on the B pillar, which I can't see on the car abowe.
I also believe most, if not all, export versions had twin carburettors. They were usually marketed as 122 S, but as Amazon S on the home market.

Is there a slightly different capture? If there is a badge, it's hidden by the man standing in front of it.

Quote I believe it's not a 1957 MY as that had a separate square side strip on the B pillar, which I can't see on the car abowe.
I also believe most, if not all, export versions had twin carburettors. They were usually marketed as 122 S, but as Amazon S on the home market.

It seems that the 1957 models were only sold in Sweden (fr). And Amazon was indeed only used for Scandinavian countries, while 120 Series was the name for the rest of the world (except for the 1964+ Canadian, of course), because the name was already registered by a German motorbike manufacturer.
Only the US market didn't have the 121 models: the car was sold as 121 / 122 S in other countries, all promoted from mid-60s onwards as 120 Series /120 Serie / Serie 120 / Série 120 depending on the country:

(1961-62 UK brochure cover // 1964-65 UK brochure cover // 1965 Dutch brochure cover)

So, as the car in the main picture is a (German, i.e. export) 1958-61 model, should we identify it as:
• 1958 Volvo 121/122 S [P120] -- [for consistency on the way it was promoted before 1964 or 1965]?
• 1958 Volvo Serie 120 [P120] -- [for consistency on the whole car line but with localization (de)]?
• 1958 Volvo 120 Series [P120] -- [for consistency on the whole car line and with internationalization]?

No badge. A 121?

Set as Serie 120 ("localization way" chosen) until someone helps to give a more accurate identification...
