1985+ Location seems to be the fishing port of Neustadt in Holstein - where for many years thousands of scrap-clunkers were loaded on former Sovietish fish-trawlers. Watch the cutters on the left!! I don't know the actual situation, but a time age there were articles about the problems of this little town https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neustadt_in_Holstein The streets were clogged with car-transporters and with wrecks, too. Because some too junky cars were dismantled by the Russian and the carcassed were left-behind, but also because local people, who wanted to get rid of a junk-car, drove or towed them next to the harbour and let them stand there, with the keys in the ignition lock (and often loaded with old tires, oil-cans and other rubbish) |
