This scene was the reenactment of the murder of Jack McVitie who was stabbed by Reg Kane at a house party on Evering Road at Stoke Newington in Hackney, Northeast London on the night of the 29th October 1967.

McVitie was a known associate of the Kray who was referred as "The Hat" (as he wore a trilby hat to hide his hair loss), who worked for the Krays as an enforcer and hitman.

Prior to his murder, McVitie was paid £500 by Ron Kray to murder an associate and ex-business partner of the Krays, Leslie Payne, the hit failed when McVitie and his associate, Billy Exley drove to Payne's house and was told by Payne's wife that Payne wasn't home.

After McVitie's murder, his body was dumped outside the St. Mary's Church in Rotherhithe, Southeast London and was then later moved to an unknown location.

His murder led to the Krays' downfall and convictions.
