It doesn't have any chrome around the wheel arches, no chrome on the side strips (the strips that continue the line from the bumpers), no painted rear view mirrors and no painted lower side of the front bumper. It also has no alloys and soldid paint. All this argues it's not a 760, but a 740. Besides, the 760 had an entirely different design from 1988. If the registration plate says it's a MY 1989, I believe it's a 1989 Volvo 740 GL. Otherwise the plastic wheel covers argues it doesn't have 15" rims but 14" which was introduced on the MY 1989. I believe it's a GL as Volvo simplified the models in the late 80's, and the GLE/GLT became a basic car with optional extras fitted "as standard". -- Last edit: 2015-07-10 17:44:33 |
