Talbot-Lago ?

(… Bugatti ? Delahaye ? Delage ?)

(Saoutchik ? Figoni et Falaschi ? Letourneur et Marchand ? Chapron ?)

I should change my main pic, maybe. It was the only one neatly focused but it is not 'talking' enough: you're the first to give the car a try.

Not the Embiricos Bentley, the bonnet louvres, the radiator grille, and the shape of the windscreens do not match.

B27LE, the car referred to was a 1938 4 1/4 litre with a body by Van Vooren of Paris.

Maybe Carosserie Van Vooren, or M. Paulin the designer of the streamlined body, did work for the chassis maker.

I'm learning, I'm learning.

There is what appears to be an excellent website devoted to this much interesting Georges Paulin and his works:

Part two, for Didier.

The original Bentley Corniche, scroll down to the pictures of GRA 270.

As for GRA 270 link ^
Quote Unfortunately only her ignition keys survived a German bomb attack on the docks of Dieppe when she was heading back to 'Blighty'.

I think there's a typo in the first word - should read
"Fortunately only her ignition keys survived ...... " That thing is hideous. The Germans did Bentley a favour.

GRA 270 is at this time being reconstructed. But I think the car shown is Figoni & Falaschi, delahaye, or albot-Lago

Y a du Figoni & Falaschi 'teardrop' là-n'nans, non ?

The body, the windows, all except the simpler hood point towards this Delahaye with Figoni & Falaschi body.

On y est presque, DynaMike !

Merci. Je pense qu'elle est de l'année 1939, que c'est une Delahaye, et que la carrosserie etst de Figoni et Falaschi, oui.

Que les détails ne nous arrêtent pas !
