Pimped up 1972 Station Wagon, actually, this roof was offered 1974 model year on

I agree with rjluna2, they look atrocious on a VW Camper.

Maybe that, but on other cars they'd look good.

Why 1974 model year :??:

It has the hallmark of old bumpers and old indicator, but has new rear vent and taillight.

I think some admin may missed my point above; A 1974+ roof from a Camper on a 1972 Station Wagon.

(I wasn't guilty!)

It is me, I misinterpreted tore-40's comment
(I thought it was 1972+ then narrowed to 1974+ because of the roof)

Filmed in Canada - shouldn't it have a different name there?

Indeed, multiple choices, as there were several models. Still not an original camper? Then it could be based on a Panel Van (probably not), Window Van, or possibly Station Bus in English, Camionette (@Baube?) and Station-Bus (with a hyphen) in French. Also VW were never cosistent with their names, so other variants may appear

For sure not an original Westfalia. Wrong roof profile all over, most obvious around the joint - not the elevated edges of the roof at the joint, not the same rubber seal, not even in the same place - Westies reach to the front door window.

A much better match is the Spirits Camper conversion with the California pop top (not hinged like the Westfalia) (c) thesamba.com

The only thing is, you may have guessed it, they were California based...
