But how do you know it's RHD?
Not all cars sold in a country have the steering wheel on the same side.

For some years I used to deliver morning papers, driving an Opel Kadett E, belonging to the Swedish Postal Service (Swedish mail, SWE: Posten), and as the steering wheel was om the Right Hand Side I assumed it was a Vauxhall in disguise.
It wasn't, I found out when I looked at the identification plate under the hood/bonnet. It was made in Germany (Rüsselheim?).

For all we know, the Opel might belong to someone on a visit.

No tourists allowed to take the car with them, then?

The only land border is with mainland China, and in 1967 there weren't any tourists coming from there.

There were no ferry lines either?
Or car planes?

I understand this would have cost a fortune, but was it allowed, or possible?

Rather not available, I think. Maybe our Hongkong-members know more. @boys bible, @3asv6 :hello:

In 1960s, all of the vehicles in Hong Kong are registered from Hong Kong.
Since 2000s, some cars from mainland of China can register license from Hong Kong, to enter Hong Kong.
No cars from other countries run Hong Kong, with the license of other countries, including UK. (Except military use.)

And, I'm sure this Opel is RHD. Hong Kong doesn't allow LHD.
