Parallel wipers, five bolt wheels and still old front: 1966/67. Edit: I'm a bit puzzled by the black roof. IDs had a white roof, except 'Administration' versions, but those would have black B- and C-pillars... Is it a DS? Or is it a Belgian built ID (those often had aluminium roofs in the same colour as the body). If Belgian, then it is a 1966 Luxe only. The Confort (or IDéal on some markets) had stainless steel indicator trumpets, and the Luxe wasn't built in 1967. Edit2: But in the years 1963-1966 the ID had single exhaust pipes... So this must be a 1967 model, therefore French built, but because of the painted roof I'd say made for Italy... -- Last edit: 2009-04-03 21:36:06 |

Belgian IDs and DSs were at first the regular import in Italy, except aluminiun roofs even plastic ones were often painted by the car's owners who disliked ID's unpainted roof as giving a very poor or semi-finished effect.. |
