Yellow coupe at far right is a rare TVR, Vixen or Tuscan.

Looks like early 70s Tuscan, with 3.0 Ford V6 or maybe Triumph 2.5 which was homologated for US emissions use via TR6. Vixen with 1.6 Ford Cortina probably wasn't - and even if it was would have been slower than a lamp-post with all the strangulation bits.

By the taillights and rear styling, it is not any earlier than a 1969 Vixen S2, and not a 1972+ M-Series. The 1.6 was available in the US; Wikipedia says the Tuscan V6, however, was never exported to the US, only the Tuscan V8. The 2.5 was sold as the 1971-1972 Vixen 2500.

My research thus indicates our choices are 1969-1970 Vixen S2 (438 built), 1970-1972 Vixen S3 (~165 built), 1972 Vixen S4 (23 built), 1973(?) Vixen 1600 (unknown number built, but likely very few), 1971-1972 Vixen 2500 (385 built) and 1969-1970 Tuscan V8 (~50 built 1967-1970, give or take).

Pinning down model years is tricky because it seems like TVR made changes based on when they ran out of the old parts, not based on some silly thing like a calendar.

This car also has US-spec side marker lights and, it appears, a sunroof.

Even though it's small, it should get its own page since it is so rare, especially in a he US

^ Can't argue against any of that. Seems early Vixen production was very US targetted (S1 and S2 - maybe 70% of production) but with Cortina Mk2 rear lights this is not S1. The bonnet side grille looks shorter version which was the C-pillar vent from Mk4 Zephyr/Zodiac and introduced on S3; S2 had longer and shallower format vent with horizontal bar. Confirmed that Tuscan V6 (Ford 3-litre) was not exported to US because it could not be adapted for emissions, which is partly why Capris for US were German-built - the obvious UK engine was incompatible, although early US Capris used the UK Kent 1.6 as also fitted to US Cortinas. So US Vixens could have piggy-backed it as well for a time, but US Capris were all 2-litre by 1972 and US Cortinas stopped in 1970 with end of Mk2. Result would have been US-compatible 1600 engines in very short supply by 1970. So TVR grabbed the Triumph 2.5 engine and launched the 2500 (I don't think called Vixen or Tuscan) in 1970 very firmly targetted for US and followed by sequel 2500M, but again agree this is not M body with new rear lights. Tuscan V8 a wildcard and very small numbers dribbling to nothing by 1970, so can be discounted - although US compatible engines were used, crash-testing requirements would have not been worth pursuing.

On balance a late Vixen is possible (S3 but not S4 as engines would have dried up by then) but from what I can disentangle from confusing book references, the 2500 seems almost certain, especially with the sunroof option which may not have been available on Vixens.
