Let me guess, Mike: early enough for the clignotants on the pilar, and last year for canvas trunk lid? |

Clignotants came already on the 1955 models, but the big rear window was new for 1957. And the 1958 models had the rear license plate placed in the centre, not to the left. But are those thumbnails showing the same car? In that case it's a 1955-1957 AZ with a non-original roof and rear window... |

Well, you know, with these people in cinema, you don't really know. Maybe the one on the main pic was a wreck already… And how would they have known that the movie continuity would be discussed decades later by some crazy buffs on a website? |

Main has replaced/repainted rear wing in pale colour, thumbs do not .... |

So, should I open a page for the 55 AZ?… Yes! |

And the very one on this page should be reduced to . |

In the movie, it's supposed to be the same car as the other 2cv... The "not other" has this rear end: (01:19:14 // Sorry, no better picture...) The plate numbers seem not to match: I read a 9XX(X?) F? 75 on the "stuck on the roof" one, while it seems to be 389(X?) FV 78 on the "still on the road" one. 1956: 1000 ES 75 to 3190 FS 75 1957: 3191 FS 75 to 122 GS 75 1964: 1298 FF 78 to 4827 FV 78 1965: 4828 FV 78 to 425 GH 78 => the 78 car changed department in 1964 or 1965, so the plate cannot help identify its model year... -- Last edit: 2014-04-14 02:36:58 |
