1962+ Ford Anglia Break [106E]. |
◊ 2014-04-14 00:58 |
To French readers: The March 2014 issue of the Gazoline magazine has a 9 pages file on the 1960-1967 Ford Anglia. For Ford Anglia non-experts (including me ): - According to Ford Anglia 105E Owners' Club:"The designation 106E was given to Left Hand Drive Export models of the 105E" - In the estate page of the same website, it is also written that "Ford officially released the Ford Anglia 105E Estate in September 1961". Therefore the 1962 model year... -- Last edit: 2014-04-14 01:03:38 |

Further reading helps, sometimes. Some lines below, on the ford Anglia model designation page: "The designation 307E covered all 997cc 5cwt and 7cwt Vans from 1961 to 1967 Inclusive. [...] The designation 308E was given to Left Hand Drive Export models of the 307E". So shouldn't this car have a [308E] identification? |

@elmer - 1960+ Anglia code summary: 997cc saloon Basic and Deluxe and 1962+ estate (only one trim level) - 105E RHD, 106E LHD 1198cc mainly 1962+ Super saloon, plus 1200 option versions of normal saloon and estate -123E RHD, 124E LHD plus the vans were 307E RHD, 308E LHD - 1961-65 Thames 5cwt and 7cwt, renamed 1965-67 as Ford Anglia Van. This estate is presumably LHD and 997cc so 106E is correct; it could be a rare 1200 option 124E but you need to find a small rear badge to prove it - /vehicle_655488-Ford-Anglia-Estate-1200-123E-1966.html |

Have you tried to mind your own business and let people do what they want to do? -- Last edit: 2014-04-14 04:27:04 |

My mistake. I confused (once again) estate/break with van... Thanks for the reminder -- Last edit: 2014-04-14 04:39:14 |
