??? Car is very low with unusual two-tone pattern, low panoramic windshield, plain rooder's hubcaps and not necessarily a Buick. It must be some early fifties restyled & customised one off car as there were so many in the States. |

I think so too. I believe I have a picture of the car in an old copy of "Popular Mechanics". If I find it, I'll scan the pic and post it. |

If it is not so I suggest 1947 Buick Special Convertible Sedan. The grill is not 1946 and the Wheelbase is short as Special. The only doubt is the overriders on bumpers. |

Definitely a Buick: Post-war model (not 1942) due to the propeller hood ornament, I think. The ornaments underwent minimal changes between 46-49. Convertibles available: 1942: Model 56-C Model 76-C 1946: Model 56-C Super Convertible Sedan 1947: Model 76-C Roadmaster Sedan Model 56-C Super Convertible Sedan 1948: Model 76-C Roadmaster Convertible Sedan Model 56-C Super Convertible Sedan 1949: Model 76-C Roadmaster Convertible Sedan Model 56-C Roadmaster Convertible Sedan |
