The middle one is a 1995-1997 model. The one on the right is a 1993-1994 model. I'm sure they could have done better than 20-year-old police cars as prop NYPD vehicles. |

Yes, it's ridiculous. As you said, these cars are 20 year old. Looks a way to save money, as they must be cheap today. And there are lots of them as they were used as taxis and police cars. At least there are some 2003 models and also 2000 Impalas being crashed in the trailer. But they are still too old. 2008 Impalas and Crown Vics should be more appropiate... but more expensive. -- Last edit: 2014-02-14 16:46:23 |

It's really not a huge deal and I don't blame them as much. I suppose it'll all just depend on how much time they actually have on screen. And to take your example, 2008 models would still be too new to wreck. |

Didn't New York lose a ton of Crown Vics during Hurricane Sandy? This is Marvel Entertainment. You would expect better from them especially after the money they raked in on The Avengers. It would seem the movie is set on the early 90s and New York has not had it's fleet updated in quite sometime. If they was going to save money they should have used what they had left over to make Spider Man look real. He looks as if he has been plucked from a Playstation 2 game. |

Yes, you're right with that. The CGI looks cheap. Also, I think those cars will not be seen much. In the trailer the most used version is the 2003 one. It is also old, but at least it looks similar to the newer models and most people seeing the film will not notice that. Anyways, there are lots of Crown Vics on the streets now, but if filmmakers continue wrecking them like that, they will be a very rare model... They could take the 1998 model, much closer to the 2008 model and probably quite cheap. |

Yes, you're right: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ford_Crown_Victoria_LX.jpg And most people would not notice that the car is old. But with older models the difference is bigger. How many CV's have been made in total? -- Last edit: 2014-02-17 17:55:37 |

Ugh not that disaster of a movie Blues Brothers 2000... Oh and it's not the film makers you gotta worry about. It is the demo derbies and Monster Jam. Sometimes I hate the movie industry. |

Yes, that's true! And I have not seen that remake, just found the video on Youtube... In this Spider-man movie there is also a Crown Vic pile up. They just seem to hate this car for some reason... |

Some of them wrecked during the chase. This one on the roadblock and maybe some more in a big pile-up. |
