Could it also be. 1962 Dodge Custom 880 or 1962 Chrysler Newport? |

Definitely not a '61 Dodge of any sort. Note complete absence of fins. I vote with '62 Dodge Custom 880 based on front fender line drop down and bumper edge. -- Last edit: 2014-02-05 14:50:54 |

This was film in Australia as IMDb described. |

There were plenty more filming locations than just those 7! One of them was my grandfather's house |

I do not want to argue with the Commander but I really think it is the 1961 Dodge Phoenix . Note wrap around taillights above bumper as on 1961 Dodge. -- Last edit: 2014-07-25 20:07:05 |

But the '61 had very distinctive tubular taillamps visible from the side. Also, the '61 had lower sided trim. And again, there are clearly no fins. I stand by 1962. |

Ah! Now in that view it certainly appears to be a '61 Dodge Dart Pioneer. I also see where my error came from. Was examining my Burness album under the Dodge section and only comparing the Polara which does have jet tube taillamps. The Dart has different ones and I guess the main pix quality obscures the fins. |

It's actually an Australian-built Dodge Phoenix [RD4]. The Dart (and other Dodge models) were not sold in Australia. -- Last edit: 2016-06-07 02:34:39 |

I'll bow to your superior knowledge of Australian models. |
