S2 arrived here May 82 so very tight for film date. S1 arrived UK May 78. I didn't notice vinyl when watching normally, but I can see why you've suggested it from captures. |

It means that between the 1980 and 1982 the 1st series was still available in UK (like in Italy) or that it wasn't offered in this period at all? |

As far as I know Gamma saloon and Coupe were both fully available here without interruption May 78-Jan 85. |

Thne this later change of series is interesting. Till now I thought that the S1 had longer life only at home. |

Neither version sold well in UK - keeping it on the price lists may have been an attempt to shift unsold stock 80-82, although without new RHD production in those years. I remember about 1986 a scrappie in Orkney already having 2 derelict saloons due to engine failure which were crushed because no-one locally would touch them and values were so low they were not worth shipping elsewhere. |

The series II arrived in Italy in April 1980. Some series I were still available since the car was a real flop, but I can't say the availability lastel until 1982. It was actually deleted months before the launch of the Thema, because they had plenty of unsold series IIs. |

That's right - since 1980 MY both models were available in Italy. I read once, that the s1 was offered till 1982. (I prefer face of the s1.  ) |
