Yes, they were sold as one model line in Australia market.

Outside they have Special trim level with luxury interior.

With the taillamps on the fenders, shouldn't this be a '51/'52?
And that looks more like a '52 trunk lid handle style to me.

According to the Dammann's 75 years of Chevrolet book at page 208:

Quote In Australia, Chevrolet continued its one-model car concept, using the very stark Special styling for the exterior, coupled to a fairly plush interior. Since then, Australian Chevrolets have been generally the same as U.S. models, with a few exceptions. [Sic] But, since 1952, Chevrolet have continued in Australia as relatively minor line, retaining respect, but not being the sales leader that they are in the U.S.


Based on Commander 57's finding, I would say this is just 1952 Chevrolet without the model name listed.
