2010, not 2011 due to the absence of GM Badge and side reflector. http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/34095878.html |

It must have been a late model change. Here's a 2010 Aveo manufactured in Jan of 2010 without a GM Badge. 2010 - http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/60839123-24.html Another manufactured in October of 09 without a badge. http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/129747164-14.html Neither of these 2010's have any GM badge. I'm struggling to find at least one. http://gtcarlot.com/colors/Chevrolet/Aveo/2010/Medium+Gray/ Found the brochure though: http://www.auto-brochures.com/makes/Chevrolet/Aveo/Chevrolet_US%20Aveo_2010.pdf The change must have come quickly. -- Last edit: 2019-06-24 22:13:02 |

Unfortunately, I found zero 2010 Aveo's on GTCARLOT with the badge, VIN Numbers and all. I can only guess they made the change after the brochure got printed because I didn't find any so the badge had to have been removed before the 2010s entered production. If someone can find a 2010 Aveo with a badge please let me know. http://gtcarlot.com/colors/Chevrolet/Aveo/2010/ - Found none here I'll let the mods decide how to handle this. -- Last edit: 2019-06-24 22:22:33 |

Small change probably not worth changing the brochure for. It'd be interesting to see if the same photography was used in the 09 brochure. Even if it was a midyear change your evidence of real samples and VIN numbers would suggest we can consider this a 2010 change. |

well.. if you look at the end of the brochure they say it was printed in august 2009, which is , according to wiki, about the time GM decided to stop using it there might be some 2010 with it but it is also safe to presume that one without it might be a 2010 as well.. might be not reflecting the reality but my idea is they simply went like : " we paid for them, lets put them until the box gets empty " .... sometimes when there is no significant change between two model years, newer brochure might use previous year's pics Sandie, there is the 2009 one -- Last edit: 2019-06-24 22:36:40 |

What's interesting is they made the change for some models, such as the 2010 Malibu, which had its brochure printed in June 2009. Link to "www.auto-brochures.com" The Cobalt, on the other hand, also has the Mark of Excellence badge present in the 2010 brochure. Link to "www.auto-brochures.com" |

can't really explain why... Malibu had some divination power ? i think it has it, it was on the door, not on the fender, we see a little something on it |

I went through the Malibu's earlier. The Malibu had the badge on the lower part of the driver door which in my opinion, is really hard to see. |

we have a better view of it in the full range brochure |

The trouble is that some model still have badge of excellence and some don't ![]() I get the feeling that Chevrolet Aveo which was made in South Korea (Bupyeong-gu plant) still badging during the production for the 2010 model year for our market. But, it could be discontinued sometimes during that period ![]() |

yes, but some a re-used pics |

Yes, Baube. I think the real reason why USA discontinued using the badge of excellence was the result of the Automotive industry crisis during at the time ![]() Link to "en.wikipedia.org" |
