1967-72 GMC C/K-Series with the 1971-72 black grille. The missing inside mirror doesn't allow to be more precise: it would be fixed to the roof for a 1971 model, glued to the windshield for a 1972 one.
A ½-ton 1500 or a ¾-ton 2500 model ("short" 1500 if sure of the 115"/2.92 m wheelbase), the only sure thing being the Wide-Side bed.

The Sierra and Sierra Grande trim level were unveiled for the 1972 model year, and if I'm not mistaken, nothing in these pictures help us to identify one of them clearly. The lack of lower chrome molding on the bed side would more likely indicate a Deluxe or Custom (1971) / a Custom or Super Custom (1971) trim level.

This is a 2wd truck. Nothing say K series at all. Look at the photos. No indication of anything other than a common 2wd 1/2 ton GMC pickup. C-1500

@ 4x4peru:
C/K is generic, it doesn't mean it has to be a K-Series;
• Why not a C-2500? Is it for sure a short wheelbase?

@ eLMeR. The IFS rules out a K series. Why list it as a possibility when it is not? The view of the rear axle hub rules out anything other than a 1/2 ton chassis. Why confuse the issue. It is a 2wd LWB 1/2 ton GMC truck. When there are no clear details I understand the generic C/K even given the odds are way in favor of the C series from this generation of GM truck.

And in comprehensible English for people like me? :)

@ 4x4peru: I didn't argue about K-Series or not K-Series. I just wanted all possible details so I could have checked, as usual before validating something I'm not sure of. The admin who validated it as C-1500 was apparently less patient :D

I assume it means Independent Front Suspension, as opposed to a live axle.
