Fake plate? |

Looks real. Gadebusch district (GDB) existed from 1990 to 1994 and is now part of Nordwestmecklenburg (NWM). Thus the truck must be a T2 before it was named Vario in 1996. |

It is allowed to use an old plate then? |

Why old plate? It is a 1986+ truck and the plate was used between 1990 and 1994. So everything is o.k. I've linked this pic into my plate-forum, and my fellows say, that nothing fake-ish is visible. So it seems to be an authentic plate. |

I meant if it's allowed to use now (2012) or 2007, when this movie is made... ![]() -- Last edit: 2012-12-16 23:32:46 |

It's still allowed. All West German plates, issued since the 1.7.1956 are still valid. The former DDR-plates were changed between 3.10.1990 and the 31.12.1993. P.S. No kidding: German driving licences are unlimitedly vaild. This goes for all, for papers, issued in the pre-1990 West Germany, the DDR, the pre-1.1.1957 Saarland (which belonged to France before), the occupation times 1945-1949 and even the pre-1945 Deutsches Reich. No idea, if there are still some doters with a licence with the (in Germany illegal) swastica on it, but those would be still valid papers ![]() But this had to be civil licences. Military driving licenes are always chanced after the service times, still in the Bundeswehr (where it's popular to make the truck licence). |
