Probably repeating previous discussions, but by 1980 GM had no official distribution in UK, but did support Lendrum & Hartman (London) and then Bauer-Millet (or similar spelling, Manchester) for a trickle of imports - usually Corvettes, Camaros, Cadillacs or other top-enders. I think the most likely explanation for lesser porridgemobiles would be from personnel on US bases here - either still owned or sold on at end of stay. Any chance (for abit of fun) that Gladding/Cladding was a CDN dealer? |
