This looks like a 1948 Rover 12 coupé [P2]. Always as scarce as hens' teeth. |

not a 12hp, must be a 10 hp as that's the only one they did as a two door coupe |

I've found a book reference to 1947 2 door 12 sports tourer "awkwardly styled" - 200 made, supposedly for export. Does tourer ref mean open top? The 10 Coupe - 4 seater - was launched at 37 Motor Show and was "very smart". I'd call this an awkwardly styled Coupe, which matches neither option, but I'm not a Roverist. |

I won't argue with the Ten if you have a reference, although the Ten was no ball of fire which seems odd for a Coupé. Frankly I think the 12 Tourer is a lot prettier than this. |

Agreed - 12 Tourer Link to "www.simoncars.co.uk" , http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7276/7056380505_df235fb0b4_o.jpg . 10 coupe - http://www.classicandsportscar.ltd.uk/images_catalogue/large/rover-10-coupe_18684.jpg , http://www.classicandsportscar.ltd.uk/images_catalogue/large/10coupe_007_3377.jpg . Book refs are different Robson books - he doesn't say anything much about either version. |
