I didn't know about the 300 D, and it's not listed here http://wiki.mercedes-benz-classic.com/index.php/Kategorie:W114/W115 either. But I do know about the 240 D 3.0 [W 115], as I had one neighbour who had one when I was in my early teens, and another neighbour who had a [T2] fitted with a 240 D 3.0 engine a few years later.
