Whilst I can believe this is a Triple White this episode aired in February 1984 so maybe an earlier issue of the Triple White? |

Glas's is a bit confusing about early roofless Golfs, but definitely no mention of specials before Sept 85, so this is normal car but all white. 1st UK convertible was April 80 GLi 1.6, then it gets silly July 81 GLS 1.5 added but Sept 81 renamed as GL 1.5. Sept 82 GLi becomes 1.8. Then Nov 83 the New Golf launched, including the convertible but this was just the old one carried through, but only as 1.6 GL (and in Sept 85 got dual headlamps and side indicators). May 84 CTi 1.8 launched with grille badge, black arch extensions etc so can be excluded. As far as I can tell, 80+ GLi 1.6 is as accurate as we can be ..... |
