Production of the 2CV Van started in March 1951 as AU (9 bhp engine). The oval around the double chevrons was dropped in March 1953. AZU (with 12 bhp engine) only appeared in October 1954. By the standard position of the indicators and the light coloured (?) wheels I think it is a 1955+ AZU with a retrofitted grille ornament, but it could be a 1951-1953 AU with repainted wheels and accessory indicators...

I liked the information. I had a 1954 van like this some 40 years ago with 11 HP in papers (as well as the year) with the indiccators at that position and wheels as gray as the car, but at the time I had no worry about exact specifications. The grille ornament wasn't there anymore.

I added (!) some modiffications as cutting the hood in the most modern 2CV way, changed by myself the body gray tone and seat canvas to a bright red. It was said Citroën brought 12 vans and this one was owned by Alliance Française library. I kept for 2 years while at university and when I sold 3 foreigners disputed the car (from Spain, Portugal and South Asya, I don't remember who won). With the sale and a 12 month financement I bought a 2 CV 1967 AZAM which was imported by Citroën to factory tests by FNM.

Unfortunately for me, they never produce 2CV in Brazil, and for years I was surely the brazilian that had owned more 2CV in Brazil (3). Nowadays, many 2CV are been brought from Argentina and Uruguay and probably this honour is in other hands.
