Agreed. With 2 1/2 litre or 3 1/2 litre engine, because you can find the longer hood and Lucas P-100 headlights. The brand name will be or SS Jaguar ( this is an after 1936 model), or Jaguar only, if it is 1946 -48. |

Just looked at the SS Jaguar page - /vehicles_make-S.S..html - looks as if it needs a lot of sorting out to remove duplicate designations eg 1½ Litre Jaguar versus Jaguar 1½ Litre and several orphan/incomplete names. Also some overlap into Jaguar [Mk.IV] likely (eg this car??) if chassis code can be sorted to match what I recently did for non-SS 1½/2½/3½ Litre (as discussed at /vehicle.php?id=463820 ). I know SS naming is fairly fluid but suggest we need some agreement on what to call what, plus reprocessing of what we've got into something coherent/consistent. Too far outside my envelope for me to volunteer or to know what needs doing, so ideas needed. |
