I agree with salvation, but looks like 1956- In 1956, layout of power-train had canged & this air-intake was added in that time. http://www.colotti.com/galleriesINGL/galler10.htm |

...and No.32 is Fangio's '57 Monaco car. Real or only painted? |

No doubt this is a '56 Maserati 250F, thus it cannot be Fangio's car at Monte Carlo. Nº 32 was used by Maserati during the '56 F1 season three times: twice by Jean Behra (Spa & Monza) and once by Cesare Perdisa at Monte Carlo. With an identical car Sir Stirling Moss won Monte Carlo but carrying Nº 28. -- Last edit: 2007-04-09 09:14:16 |

This is Maserati 250F, chassis 2528. This photo was taken at the May 28, 2000 Monaco Grand Prix Historique meeting. The car, at the time and still is, owned by the Corner family and driven here by the younger Nigel Corner. This is in fact THE car that Fangio raced (and won) at the 1957 Moncao Grand Prix and the race #32 reflects how the car appeared at that time. Best Regards, Barrie Hobkirk Vancouver, Canada |
