Most likely a US market car like most cars in the parking lot scene, which would make it a Toyota Corolla GT-S. I've seen this car at a couple of SoCal drift events. -- Last edit: 2007-06-01 19:43:45 |

If I had to guess, I'd say it was a tip of the hat to Initial D. In my (biased) opinion, anyway. That's also the reason behind the inclusion of the Corolla GT-S in Need for Speed Underground 2, apparently. |

The AE86 is a referent in the world of drifting because was a very agil and cheap RWD. It weigthed less than a ton and, obviously, the hachi roku was the car that the drift king Keiichi Tsuchiya drived, well and is the car that still driving nowaday (the TRD version). In Tokyo drift he worked in the drift scenes, as you can see in these video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhL2pScsNx4 Maybe is an homenage to he or simply an homenage to the car, who knows... but when we are talking about drifting we have to remember the hachi roku and Keiichi Tsuchiya. I'm sorry, I'm a completely addict to this car!! See you and thanks for the work that you all do to this webpage |
