T-Type with the black-out trim? |

You are right, night cub ![]() I can see the amber indicators on the taillights effectively making this as T-Type package. Now as CougarTim's question is it either Buick Somerset or Buick Skylark ![]() Link to "www.flickr.com" |

Those wheels weren't available until 1989. The "amber" in the taillight is just a reflection. I'm going with 1989-91 Skylark Gran Sport. |

Do you have any proof that support your claim, l67guy? ![]() |

For one, there are no T-Type emblems. The T-Types had emblems on the trunk and B-pillar trim. Admittedly, I was incorrect about the wheels being available in 1989 first, they were offered in 1988. In between the 1987 Somerset T and the 1989 Skylark Gran Sport, Buick offered "the Black Package" which included pretty much everything the T-Type and GS had like the blacked out trim. Here is that car's twin. A 1989 Skylark Gran Sport. 1989 was the only year these wheels were used on the GS, the Shelby wheels were optional, in 1990 the Shelby wheels became standard. ![]() I've owned 12 of these cars...;) T-Types, GSs, a Black Package and 2 Somerset Grand Nationals. Apologies for taking a year to respond, I don't get over here often. ha -- Last edit: 2015-10-26 02:15:22 |

Interesting, l67guy ![]() According to the Wikipedia, the Grand Sport trim level was available in 1990 model year ![]() https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buick_Skylark#1986.E2.80.931991 |

Wikipedia is also notoriously wrong. ha. The Gran(no D) Sport was from 1989-1991 on this generation of N-body. I have no idea where they got S/E and LE trim packages, those were Pontiac trims. |

Buick did have a Luxury Edition trim for 1990-91, which included a vinyl roof that spilled over to the rear door (like the 1980s Chrysler LeBaron). Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" The Skyhawk had a SE trim, but not the Skylark. |
