It's not a 'Blower'. What you mistake for the supercharger is in fact the generator. RX 6180 is a 1930 6 1/2 Litre. The car still exists, albeit it was in a sad state when I saw it last about four years ago. How anybody can let a valuable car with this pedigree deteriorate is beyond me. -- Last edit: 2006-07-18 13:02:52 |

"wow ythis thing is huge - how long was that? 6,5 metres?" As with all Bentley sports cars of that era they came in different wheelbases. The smallest where about the same as a 3 or 5.5 litre model the largest where about 0.5m longer something like 4m. |

I think it was Ettore Bugatti who called these Bentleys 'the fastest trucks in the world'... |

Currently for sale, (Dec 2016) asking price £1,150,000. http://www.prewarcar.com/classifieds/ad209596.html No doubt, with the impending total destruction of the British economy, it should be possible for one of the newly enriched Europeans to trade in an old Maybach or similar, and buy this with small change. As the current owner of a Bentley of lower value (very) I await developments with interest. -- Last edit: 2016-12-14 22:03:56 |

A piece of trivia: Macnee couldn't drive, all his life. Any shots of him driving and moving the Bentley had to be variously contrived by being pushed etc. Most shots were stationary or pulling up and jumping out |
