Porsche 356A Speedster ca. 1955-57. |

Or is it a replica? Those black wipers look much too modern... |

Agree - It seems to have a UK plate in ABC 123D format suggesting it is newer than an original 356. I would say that it is a Chesil Speedster. By far the most common 356 replica. |

Sorry Sandie, but the plate looks Dutch, beginng with AM. Then 13 or 34 and 70 or 76. Or? ![]() |

Good spot, Ingo! "AM-43-70" belongs to a 1969 VW 1300, so I guess that's the one... (imported to Holland in October 2008). |

There was another 356 replica from I think Belgium or The Netherlands that it could be then. I can't remember the name. It was two letters with an ampersand. My memory of the whole thing is sketchy. It could still be a Chesil. They built a lot of cars and exported some. -- Last edit: 2011-08-02 22:30:57 |

Apal was quite common, here. But this car has been imported as a second hand car (or the original papers were lost). If it came from France it might be a PGO... |

Not an APAL, this is a 356 Speedster built by Vintage Speedsters (USA) |
