Carboserver is right.I got angry about this when I saw it.They kept talking about k-cars and showing mid-80s examples in a show set a few years earlier.Ive been watching for other such inconsistancies on the show ever since. |

This car is actually the rarer 2-door coupe. What makes it a Dodge over the Plymouth version? |

well, Dodge was considered a mid level brand on Chrysler Group, to compete with Pontiac and Mercury, and Plymouth use to be the popular brand, to compete with Chevrolet and Ford |

actually carobserver, you have it backwards, at this time-period the Dodge vehicles slated above the Plymouth ones. With Plymouth marketed more for economy. |

I'd like to point out that the other K-car facing in the shot (dead center) has the Plymouth Reliant grill. The other models look like Chrysler Lebarons (the red one on the right may be a Dodge 400). |

I know the differences between Dodge and Plymouth in marketing... I was actually referring to this specific car . The only differences between the Reliant and Aries are the grille and tail lights. Neither of which is seen at all in this picture. -- Last edit: 2011-04-21 23:44:29 |
