Edited by vilero: changed old main picture. It was a composition of two pictures.

Dash is at least Cortina Mk1 GT - they used several different designs during Cortina's lifetime, but 1965+ as aeroflow vents though with (home-made/accessory) upgrades such as wood trim; however could also be transplant from Mk2 GT/1600E - I assume they fit easily but can not confirm. Exterior would match 1965+ Mk1 GT or Super.

No - that is a nice 1967 Mk2 Super. Our main is a definite Mk1, though apparently has upgraded Mk2 dash. I guess the film premiere car is a Ford collection example - Essex plates - which looks totally standard apart from lots of contemporary dealer-fit accessories. Just checked DVLA for WEV 26F - it's a 1600, registered 01-08-1967 (the first day the F-plate appeared), a few weeks before 1600 announced to replace Mk2 1500, so a pre-production example for launch use? A neat photo and a good reference.

While I agree with the three stars, this car is used as a location for two principal actresses in the film; and appears in the trailer and Key-sets.
Its arguable that what she SHOULD be driving is a Mk4 Zephyr 6 or higher.
This is the wife of a very senior Ford Exec, on the school run.
Company cars a probability.
And use of Fords owned or loaned an expectation?
Cortina a practical choice and easier for a mere wife to park of course.
Sub-plot on how badly this very well educated woman is treated by her husband, causing her to sympathise with and indeed aid the women strikers.

Oct 65 onwards for fixed quarterlights.

This one has fooled you all as its a mk2 cortina. Look at the bonnet, on the mk1 the centre is raised from the air intake on the scuttle down to the badge. on this car its much wider than a mk1 and too close to the wing. The wing top itself where the ariel is fitted is too flat for a mk1 and the quarter light window is also the wrong. The door handle recess just visable in the thumb would be inside the body side 'flute' if it was a mk1. The drip rail on the mk1 would be curved at the bottom to follow the scuttle line. The wood door cappings and dash are '67 1600E, and the colour is Aubergine .so a '67-'68 1600E?

I should have just accepted the dashboard. But in mitigation, Your Honour, the pictures have been changed since my first comments....
