I have a crazy proposal: Israeli built Autocars Sussetta ? Or a UK built Ford Anglia escort Estate of the mid 50's ??? |

No, 1960+ Sabra Sussitta Station Wagon looks just like postman Pat's van. ![]() |

I'm surprised with this wagon ![]() |

I cannot find anything matching, but it's much bigger than an Anglia. Compare it with the Borgward and the Lincoln ![]() |

maybe a kind of Simca wagon? front end looks like Aronde |
◊ 2011-03-14 22:35 |
Definately not a Simca. Perhaps a modified Hansa Rural? |

Shape of the rear arch and tailight position make me think it might be related to Bogward/Hansa, but I've never seen anything like this before ![]() |
◊ 2011-03-14 23:31 |
Again, it is much, much bigger... |

Than a Hansa or an Anglia? I go with Barrett, from the A-pillar back it looks very much like a Hansa. Not like an Isabella, as the beads along the bottom line are missing. But the rest fits, also shape and position of the back lamp. The front looks indeed British. ![]() |

Probably, ingo. But remember this Hansa: http://www.cocheargentino.com.ar/h/hansa.htm probably an imported Hansa or similar. |

Am certain it's not UK Ford or anything else UK. Although clearly not a Trabi, I think it's about that size. Side trim suggests a deluxe version. Looks as if could be fibreglass or resin body. |

How about something made in Argentina or perhaps Japan? |
Gomselmash11 ◊ 2011-03-17 17:19 |
Autoar, definitely no. And for this time, not imported cars from Japan until 1978. Only in Tierra del Fuego, its the most probably, but not in Buenos Aires. |

Borgward production shifted to Argentina after it shut down in Germany |

Look what I stumbled on http://www.muzeum-motoryzacji.com.pl/podstrony/details.php?id=92 . Apparently something called SAM. Any ideas? |
Gomselmash11 ◊ 2011-03-19 17:56 |
From Poland? In Buenos Aires??? mmm no. |
◊ 2011-03-19 18:21 |
SAM stands for "samochód amatorski Motoru" - "amateur made car of Motor" (automotive magazine). Since 1950's all amateur made cars in Poland are called SAM and since long time are also officially registered under such name. -- Last edit: 2011-03-19 18:22:09 |

But it's obvious the car is from Poland. Look at the paint; it's polish' ![]() |

Hansa, IMHO. The side are the same. Probably are an earlier version imported. http://www.arcar.org/hansa-1100-35888 |
