It's the petrol engined Tarpan 237. The engine compartment 'architectory' (e.g. vacuum brake assistance servo, FSO air filter) indicates petrol engine inside. 239 Diesel looks different under hood: Link to "www.rolnicze24.pl" Also had lower front bumper, rigid front U-shape axle (because higher Diesel tractor engine). Here we have independent 'American style' double wishbones with coil springs as nicely visible on 2nd thumbrial. |

126p door handles. Earliest ones in 1983 still had old handles (like 233), the 126p's ones were present alredy in 1984 - so it is better choice. The car has new rounded front wheel arches and rear ones still has angular shape. Earliest Tarpans 237 had both, front and rear, angular (same like 233), then they were replaced by round ones, but as long as FSR had in stockroom old fenders they used old ones - also in combination new (round) front ones and "old" (sqaured) rear ones. It might be one of such cars or owner replaced front fenders on his own. This has been described by S. Drążkiewicz in his new book "Samochód osobowo-terenowy Tarpan". -- Last edit: 2023-04-22 21:38:02 |
