And what we (in Europe) regard as a 2-door sedan - the notchback version - was never sold in USA. The name of 'our' Variant was: Squareback Sedan ;)

Never trust my VAG friends :P... My mate is sitting here saying "it's wrong, it's wrong!!!" lol.... interesting approach to call this a Squareback Sedan.... guess I will never uinderstand the reasoning behind that....

There was never any 4-door-version of this model. ;) The Brazilian VW 1600 doesn't count really, because at least every part is different, although it's based on the 4-door-Typ3-prototype (whose original has survived in the "AutoStadt" in Wolfsburg)

:no: Never trust ANY "VAG-specialists" :no: except it's a freak, specialized in a specific model .... in the last 20 1/2 years I had to hear from alleged or self-appointed "VAG-specialists" uncountable much bullshit about "my" car :/
