It was not. 1983-84 'Polo Classic' (both 'Polo' and 'Classic' were on the boot-lid) for the 2-door saloon. 1985-89 Volkswagen called it the 'Polo' Saloon in the UK at the same time the 'Derby' name was dropped in Germany, not sure, but I think only the word 'Polo' was on the boot-lid. |

This is not a 1983 VW Polo Classic, it's a 1979-1981 Derby, type 86, not 86 C. |
