Seats are sold in Mexico so perhaps someone brought it across the border. |

They could go buy few recent Peugeot too, instead of using all the time the US-spec Mercedes & VW in addition of the old Type H and Estafette as european cars |

Yeah, it's a pity they only thought of it in the second to last episode ever. However, they wouldn't be able to register their Seats and Peugeots in the US, since the cars would not meet US regulations. They'd only be able to use them on closed roads or studio backlots. On the other hand, a Mexican would have no problems visiting the US in his/her Seat. (Thanks to Wikipedia I found out about the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic, which says that a car "in international traffic" must comply with the regulations of the country of registration but not those of the country being visited.) |

They cannot register vehicle individually? I know that in Europe you can register US cars, though it is a long and complicated procedure. -- Last edit: 2006-06-05 12:24:51 |

I think you'd have to have the car modified to meet US rules, which would be expensive. |

LOL, a Seat in USA... |

At first I thought that it could rather be a VW Sharan, but the Sharan isn't sold in the USA... |

It IS actually a 2004-2010 Sharan Highline. The Alhambra never had the indicator in the doormirrors (exept 2010 MY) and it also didn't have that chrome trim at the doors and bumpers. -- Last edit: 2013-06-22 22:50:53 |
