What date is this car? Is it after the Nissan takeover of Prince in 1965? Should it be labeled as make Prince or Nissan? Chassis code A150? |

The Prince Nissan merger happened in August 1966. The chassis code for these Skylines is the S5 series. A150 was the name given to export model S5 series Skylines. GT Skyline was called A200 for overseas market, including New Zealand, while the 1962-67 S4 series Gloria was called B200 for the overseas market. The reason for the merger, was a Government idea to make companies too big for foreign takeovers, hence the mergers between Mitsubishi/Hino, Toyota/Daihatsu etc. -- Last edit: 2011-01-18 02:51:10 |
