Some time ago I had the chance to drive the later version the Scarab. The cab was very small and you sit very upright, very cramped and uncomfortable. "This was a very simple and sturdy vehicle constructed on a steel channel frame with a cab made of wood. These were powered by Scammell's own side valve petrol engine of 1125cc (3-ton) and 2043cc (6-ton)". http://homepage.ntlworld.com/malcolm.ruscoe/mechanical%20horse.htm -- Last edit: 2006-06-03 00:28:05 |
