When were rubber insets to over-riders first fitted? Both cars have them. |

The red one has all details matching with the very first 1500. It was presentated in 1961, but production didn't start before October 1962 (so model year 1963). The silver one has an extra chrome strip on the side (so a double strip on the side of the trunk lid). Therefore that will be a 1964-1968 1800. Cf Ralph's site: Link to "www.bmw-02-club.de" |
