Definetely not Opel, and didn't had the Austin only single front lamps. It's no Austin-shape, too. Oh, or do you mean the hidden car in the background, rljuna2? Yes, this looks likely like an Opel, but as an Kadett B, not as an Ascona A (named 1900 in the US). If an Opel, than a 1972/73-version. I've been looking at everything, and it most closely matches a Jensen Interceptor. The side marker doesn't seem to match, but then I saw one detail that matches an Interceptor, the badge in the grill is in the same place as an Interceptor. /vehicle_183560-Jensen-Interceptor-1972.html |

The Manta yes: /vehicle_54005-Opel-1900-1971.html the Ascona (in the US was sold only the Wagon "Voyage") not: /vehicle_167899-Opel-1900-Wagon-1971.html So identical as the original version. |

Later than 1970/Mk2. Long bumper and black grille seem to match 1974-ish Mk3 [S4], and in US by this time was probably a convertible. |
