Apart from the tank badge it looks like a Matchless G9 - maybe it was disguised to look like something European for the TV programme. |

this one is a single, G9 is a twin on the singles AJS & Matchless tappet adj is on the right side and exhaust too I think more to a Simson or AWO but it's spanish reg! no? |

Yes, the DDR-bike-production was limited on 250 ccm due the COMECON-rules. Czechoslovakia was allowed to make bigger bikes. |

It was pipe exiting on the left made me think it was a twin. Sanglas were obviously influenced in their styling by AMC. |
