Morris... at least that's what it looks like to me.

Not necessarily that one, of course.

Yes, except it's the panel van version:

Any guesses on the date and US name for it?

Morris ¼-Ton O-Type Van, 1957-1962 (smaller parking lights and semaphore indicators). I doubt if these were ever officially exported to the USA.

This van has the saloon-type bonnet/hood rather than the van's. (The saloon had the raised side mouldings which did not exist on the van). The Morris badge without the 'M' handle however is correct.

Plus it has a chromed rear bumper where the vans normally had two small rubber blocks.

Perhaps a few were officially exported to NY State for a trial to establish if there was a market for a small van in the US?

Edit: From Wikipedia the Pickup was exported to the USA, again with the saloon-type bonnet but including the (coustomised?) 'M' handle, so its likely the van was also.

Has it got whitewall tyres? Looks quite surreal compared to the normal UK version.

Looking through the Morris list there are quite a few variations in the way Minor vans have been listed. What is the more acceptable way of denoting them? Do we call them all Minor vans or O-types or 1/4 ton O-types?

The correct designation is ¼-Ton O-Type Van - but only up to 1962; after that they're 6cwt, not ¼-Ton.
